Our Virtual Foster program lets you care for one of the BuckHawk animals while they wait for their own homes. We offer many ways to foster one of these needy pets.

Some are considered permanent residents of BuckHawk, due to their age, past, health condition, or breed type. We hope someday someone will see each for the loving soul he or she is and adopt. But, until then, BuckHawk considers each animal to be a personal pet of ours.
Some are good adoption candidates. For whatever reason, they are still with us and have been for awhile, so their chances of getting a home of their own are growing slimmer.
Others are considered our "Best Chance for Adoption." While they are with BuckHawk, though, they need care and love, too.
If your fostered darling gets adopted, we will pass along all the special gifts and supplies you have given them to their new home, and work with you to find a new animal to foster. Success stories are, after all, what we are all looking for.
Besides providing for their physical needs, we encourage you to send notes or messages via email or snail mail to your fostered animal. We'll read your messages to him or her and share extra petting and treats from you. This is a hard and heartbreaking job we do, and we appreciate knowing that others care, too.
Remember Birthdays, Rescue Anniversaries and holidays with cards and gifts. Show your fostered animal how much you love them.
If you can't commit to a regular monthly fostering, please consider taking care of some of the needs for a favorite animal.
